Health Career Connection (HCC) is a comprehensive professional development program that provides paid summer internships to undergraduate and recent graduates in the field of public health and health care.
Through partnerships with local organizations, HCC provides internships in a variety of settings including but not limited to: hospitals, community health centers, medical groups, health plans, local health departments, community based organizations and advocacy groups. During the course of the internship, students will work on meaningful projects and gain professional and personal development. HCC provides extensive exposure to health careers through workshops and events guiding students towards their authentic health career path.

Summer Internship Overview
Summer internships are full time (up to 40 hours per week) for 10 consecutive weeks through the months of May through August.
Interns will be provided with stipends that range from $3,000 – $4,000.
Interns will attend mandatory HCC workshops and events throughout the summer.
HCC does not offer clinical or bio-medical research related internships.
Candidates must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program (community college or 4-year college or university) or have recently graduated from an undergraduate institution.
Recent graduates must have completed their degree within the last three years.
Candidates who are enrolled in a post baccalaureate are eligible to apply.
Graduate students are not eligible to apply.
Students enrolled in high school and/or are simultaneously taking community college classes are not eligible to apply.

Please do not submit transcripts, letters of recommendations or any additional documents. They will not be considered.
- Only complete applications are reviewed. "Complete" refers to submission of all required documents as well as completion of all fields on the online application.
Once the application deadline has passed, HCC will begin a review of all complete applications.
A select number of applicants will be contacted for in-person interviews with Health Career Connection staff. *Only applicants who are invited to interview will be contacted by Health Career Connection staff. Please do not contact Health Career Connection staff about the status of your application-- due to the volume of applications we cannot answer individual requests for application status.
Based on the candidate's application and interview, a select number will be invited to move forward to a second round of interviews with potential host organizations.
Final placement decisions are made by Health Career Connection staff and are based on intern interests, qualifications, placement site availability and feedback.
