Claims Analyst

Description

The NBN Group currently has openings for Full-Time Claims Analyst for our Durable Medical Equipment and Infusion divisions .  This position will review and process outstanding patient account balances and facilitate payment with clients and 3rd party payors. Candidates with accounting, bookkeeping and math backgrounds do well in this position.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Gather and verify current demographic information, including insurance information, treatment diagnosis and authorizations.
  • Takes client phone calls regarding questions with invoices
  • Review remittances and EOB's to ensure the payment is according to the fee schedule and contracted rates
  • Investigate and reprocess denials and partial payments
  • Submit appeals of denied claims with in allotted timeframes
  • Perform insurance verifications an obtain authorizations when required
  • Notify team lead of trends or changes in insurance company payment or authorizations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Must be self directed and have excellent attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft office products and ability to navigate the internet
  • Understanding of medical and insurance terminology
  • Knowledge of CPT, HCPC and ICD-9 / ICD-10 and Revenue Codes
  • Knowledge of CPR+ a plus
  • Ability to read, write and speak English fluently; Spanish helpful
