Description

New Behavioral Network ( NBN ), in Newport, Delaware is seeking a Per Diem Master’s level Mobile Therapist to join our dynamic Intensive Outpatient (IOP) clinical team of professionals. Our program is evolving rapidly, and is focused on offering quality strengths-based clinical services, while securing evidence-based therapy training for our clinicians. We are committed to encouraging our therapists to use creativity and team collaboration with sound therapeutic treatment. Our office environment has a professional and supportive team atmosphere, with staff who have valuable insight into the human experience, who are open to continuous learning, and who value both their colleagues and clients they serve. Our IOP staff has strong professional ethics and a deep commitment to client confidentiality. NBN seeks a clinician who seeks the same.

 

Specifically, the role of the Mobile Therapist is to provide IOP mobile therapy to children, adolescents and their families to encourage and facilitate positive change within the home, school and community.  The ultimate goal is for clients to remain in the community with less intensive services.

 

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology or a related field.
  • Strong desire and commitment to working with children and families faced with complex mental health issues and societal circumstances.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with the clients, the IOP Team, the Division of Prevention & Behavioral Health Services Case Managers, and other service providers.
  • Interest in providing in-home, office and community based clinical services.
  • Strong interest in professional growth through comprehensive clinical supervision, team support, and evidence-based training
  • Ability to work full-time, flexible hours during the week, with some early evening availability.
  • The ability to speak and write English fluently (conversational Spanish a plus).
  • Current Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record as defined by agency policy, automobile insurance and a vehicle for transport to and from patient  homes.         

 

Duties Include but not limited to:

  • Demonstrates knowledge of human development as it relates to child and adolescent populations.
  • Utilizes therapeutic clinical skills in all client contacts.
  • Maintains professional boundaries at all times.
  • Demonstrates the ability to provide detailed client assessments, summaries, goals, treatment, and all related information regarding the client according to agency policy.
  • Participates in supervision, team meetings, trainings, and professional development conferences/seminars as scheduled and necessary.
  • Conducts individual, family, group therapy sessions and willing to provide a variety of psycho-education modalities with clients.
  • Facilitates weekly family sessions for all clients and families.
  • Works in conjunction with Community Interventionist (CI) and directs CI in the treatment with the client.
  • Willing to work in the home, school and community settings.
  • Ability to thoroughly and effectively document client and family sessions as well as maintain collateral contact documentation.
