Biomedical Technician

The NBN Group is currently looking for an experienced Biomedical Technician in our Cherry Hill, NJ location.  As a Biomedical Technician you will repair, calibrate and maintain medical equipment and instrumentation, such as pulse ox, apnea monitors, enteral pumps, oxygen concentrators, ventilators, suctions machines and other related devices used in the home healthcare field, while ensuring the safe operation and performance of medical equipment by conducting quality control and assurance.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Maintain operational knowledge of medical devices, manufacturer's repair manuals, troubleshooting techniques and preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Document repairs and submit reports and paperwork in a timely manner
  • Ensure proper care of tools and other assigned equipment
  • Provide supervisor with status updates of equipment or any issue with repair
  • Some on-call responsibilities may be associated with this position
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve equipment repairs
  • Follow all OSHA and company safety regulations
  • Assist with inventory cycle counts and inventory moves


Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Associates degree or higher as an electronic technician or equivalent
  • Excellent English reading and speaking skills
  • Must be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend or lean over equipment for a period of time to make repairs
  • Minimum of two years experience in servicing medical equipment
  • PC skills such as Microsoft office and ability to utilize the internet
  • Knowledge of computer, electrical, electronic and mechanical principles
  • Knowledge of biomedical equipment preventive and corrective repair standard
  • Ability to change tasks easily in a fast paced environment
  • Patient, flexible and upbeat
