Description

General Purpose: Stout seeks a full time Director to join our dynamic, growing Management Consulting team. Our team assists corporate counsel and law firms manage their businesses more effectively. We work with legal organizations, IT, business partners, and vendors to contain risk and cost through operational improvement, efficient data management, and technology usage. We help ensure the right people perform the right work, and position the legal organization for success in the eyes of executives and team members.

Our services focus on achieving tangible results and enduring change. We serve both as advisors and as experienced, scalable hands-on resources. We assist with:

  • Operations Assessment
  • Spend Analysis and Strategic Cost Reduction
  • Technology Planning, Selection, and Implementation
  • Discovery Strategy and Case Management
  • Discovery Program Management

The ideal candidate is a proven leader who is eager to manage a growing team and cultivate meaningful, long-term client relationships. Resources in this role provide engagement oversight, manage and develop client relationships, mentor junior resources, drive the strategic growth of the Management Team, and promote the Stout brand.

*This position is also available in Chicago and Houston.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain successful revenue streams through current clients and referrals
  • Identify potential clients and develop robust relationships
  • Provide subject matter expertise to clients
  • Manage client engagements and oversee daily responsibilities of engagement teams, ensuring client satisfaction
  • Develop and propose creative solutions to client problems
  • Provide guidance, training, and mentoring to group members on engagement methodologies, processes, and deliverables
  • Foster the development of junior resources and promote a culture of continuous learning
  • Provide strategic direction for the development of the Management Team, including marketing activities and business development opportunities
  • Exhibit a high level of involvement in setting the Management Team’s vision and goals, including management of the budget to achieve financial objectives
  • Develop and maintain expert knowledge of industry trends, legal news, and innovative technology solutions
  • Seek opportunities to participate in industry knowledge sharing events and technology demos and trainings
  • Promote the Stout brand through involvement in company-wide marketing initiatives, authoring industry news articles, and speaking at industry events

  • Advanced knowledge of various legal technologies

Education and/or Training:

  • 4-year degree necessary, with an emphasis or interest in finance, accounting, business administration, or technology and database skills
  • MBA degree a plus
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in the legal or consulting industries
