Description

General Purpose:  Seeking full time investment banking analyst/associate to support existing transactions and new business development in our Chicago office.  Firm focuses on middle-market M&A transactions and capital raising assignments. 

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for coordination and production of various investment banking projects and tasks, including:

  • Detailed financial modeling, valuation and analysis
  • Pitchbooks and other presentations
  • Company and industry analysis
  • Buyers lists
  • Confidential memorandas and management presentations
  • Deal execution tasks
  • Overall project management

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Must have a minimum of 1 year of deal execution experience and be proficient in the following:

  • All standard investment banking valuation methodologies
  • Detailed financial modeling, including ability to create fully integrated income statement, balance sheet and cash flow model
  • Various steps in the sell-side execution process
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to train and mentor analysts

Education and/or Training:

  • 4-year degree required, with an emphasis in Finance or Accounting preferable.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in investment banking, private equity, or corporate M&A required.
