UEMF is currently seeking a highly motivated and professional Data Integrity Clerk within our emergency medicine Billing department.  Under the general direction of the Assistant Billing Operations Manager, the Data Integrity Clerk is responsible for processing and collecting demographic information to electronically/manually input into the Practice Management System.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for processing demographics through an interface and working all corresponding reports.
  • Responsible for filing all payment batches as well as purging batches monthly.
  • Researches and verifies Workers Compensation insurances.
  • Researches and verifies self-pay patients to see if they have insurance.
  • Prints and mails medical records and claims for Workers Compensation and Motor Vehicle.
  • Mails monthly refund checks.
  • Prints explanation of benefits and mails secondary claims.

The qualifications for the position are:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of related medical billing or clerical experience.
  • Must submit a background release form and demonstrate proof of being free from disqualifying information.
  • Excellent verbal communication/customer service skills required.
  • Good compute/clerical skills are required.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance is essential.

Successful candidate must submit to a background release form, demonstrate proof of being free from disqualifying information and must possess a driver’s license and access to an insured vehicle as some transportation may be required.
