The Instructional Systems Designer III will be responsible for designing, developing, planning and organizing training solutions to address government client needs and serve as a guide and mentor to junior instruction systems designers.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Lead Needs Analysis, Job/Task Analysis, and Front-End Analysis Create Plans of Instruction or storyboards (i.e., design documents) for projects (such as job aids, ILT, IVT, CBT, WBT, video, DVD, and various forms of DL)
  • Generate reports, design plans, and create storyboards within timeframe given
  • Create Kirkpatrick Level I and Level II training evaluations
  • Coordinate with graphic artists and programmers as required, and assist with programming/graphics as needed
  • Participate in every facet of the ISD process
  • Ensure compliance with SCORM, 508, and other regulations and standards for all electronic components
  • Review products throughout analysis, design, and development for adherence to style guidelines, writing standards, and sensible course/task flow
  • Provide guidance to and mentor junior ISDs
Skills and Experience:
  • Must possess 7+ years of training related experience
  • Experience leading design teams and mentoring junior ISDs
  • Thorough knowledge of and demonstrated experience of the ISD process in the development of paper-based and web-based courseware
  • Web 2.0 knowledge and experience a plus
  • Experience working with subject matter experts (SMEs)
  • Experience conducting front-end analyses, focus groups, evaluations
  • Experience estimating level of effort for new course development or customization
  • Ability to develop instructionally sound learning solutions and testing materials
  • Demonstrated ability to apply creative instructional themes and strategies to a variety of delivery media including classroom and online
  • Ability to work effectively (adaptable and flexible) in a fast-paced corporate environment
  • Effective communication skills when interacting with the client, project team, and senior management
  • Skilled in developing instructor-led, web-based training (WBT) and blended learning solutions
  • Experience with web/multimedia development tools such as Flash and Dreamweaver and graphic design/manipulation tools such as Photoshop a plus
  • Knowledge/experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), Electronic Performance Support Systems (EPSS), SCORM, and Section 508 desired
  • Knowledge of Plateau LMS a plus
  • Advanced knowledge/experience using MS Project a plus
  • Experience supporting at least one federal client, VA a plus
Master's degree in Instructional Systems Design or related field
