Job Description:


The Corporate Development Group identifies and executes M&A platform transactions and strategic initiatives on behalf of Blackstone. The team works directly with the CEO, President and Firm's Business Heads. The small team size and extent of deal flow/projects require the analyst to take on significant responsibilities. The analyst will have the opportunity to participate in all aspects of projects from initiation to close. The team is targeting a January 2018 start. 


Primary responsibilities include:


•             Identifying, analyzing and executing potential M&A opportunities and strategic initiatives in the alternative asset management industry for the Firm

•             Constructing detailed financial models and valuation analyses

•             Conducting research and competitor analysis

•             Drafting investment memos and presentations for Blackstone's senior management team on potential and existing Firm           investments                            

•             Working with business units to create multi-asset product offerings for institutions        




One to three years industry experience required. Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who are

highly motivated, intelligent and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. In addition to

strong analytical and quantitative skills, the successful candidate should have:


•             Prior investment banking or transaction related experience preferred

•             Understanding of asset management business model

•             Strong accounting and financial modeling skills

•             Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

•             Ability to work well in a lean team environment, often under pressure

•             Strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, good judgment, mature and positive attitude
