Interactive One’s Audience Development team is seeking an Audience Development Project Manager to add to their growing team. This role reports to the VP of Revenue Operations and is part of the Audience Development Team. The Audience Development Project Manager will support the business in driving projects and initiatives related to increasing quality audience to visit and engage with iOne’s vertical channels, increasing engagement on company’s sites, and multi-channel strategies when applicable. He or she will manage the projects related to SEO recommendations, content planning, link-sharing, and content distribution.


The Audience Development Project Manager responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


Search Engine Optimization:

  1. Works with the content teams to develop SEO relevant content and increase content’s relevance to specific keywords. Key Metric: Search Engine Organic Traffic.
  2. Works with the product team to help improve search engine ranking and to remove barriers to the indexing activities of search engines Key Metric: Search Engine Organic Traffic.

Link Building:

  1. Executes relationships with numerous media outlets and their websites, monitoring their content, links, etc. Key Metric: External Inbound Links, Arrivals from Referrals/Partners.
  2. Works with internal teams to execute the link sharing processes and technology integrations.


Content distribution:

  1. Initiates and maintains relationships with numerous media outlets for content sharing and distribution. Key Metric: Content Views at Referrals/Partners, Revenue from Referrals.
  2. Works with internal teams to execute the link sharing processes and technology integrations.


The Audience Development Project Manager will have a range of both technical and professional skills, and more importantly project management in Audience Development related projects. He or she is comfortable using their considerable communications skills.



  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Two to three years of relevant project management skills.
  • Two or three years managing audience development projects are a must.
  • Experience with working knowledge of open source content management systems, search engines, and related software tools.
  • Goal driven with the ability to adapt to change and to new opportunities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as a teammate and community member.
  • Enthusiastic attitude to all parties and a deep desire to manage by the numbers.
