We currently have a full time opportunity for a qualified Electrician to join the Hamilton Island Maintenance team. This position will require the successful applicant to reside on the island and be flexible to participate in a rotating on call roster, assisting with all electrical maintenance, installation and repairs on the resort island wide.

About the Role

  • Test and Tag electrical appliances 
  • Maintain and repair household appliances (white goods), in-house audio visual systems and various motors and pumps as required
  • Maintain and install light and power to the Resort, Staff Accommodation and some Concessionaires
  • Maintain and install commercial kitchen appliances
  • Prioritise work to ensure all urgent repairs and those required for guest comfort are attended to immediately to achieve a high standard
  • Ensure all labour hours, material and information required for completion of requisitions is accurately recorded
  • Ensure all vehicles are maintained in a clean, safe roadworthy condition at all times
  • Assist ant trade person as requested by the Maintenance Electrical Supervisor

About You

  • Electrical Fitter Mechanic Trade Certificate or Electrical Mechanic Trade Certificate
  • Open/Unrestricted manual driver licence
  • White construction card
  • Work Safely at Heights
  • CPR
  • Low Voltage Rescue
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • High voltage switching experience desirable
