Join ARI and become a member of our collaborative culture supportive of entrepreneurial thinking.  The newly created role of Internal Business Consultant is a fast-paced, challenging sales role for a self-motivated and driven sales professional. The primary responsibility of the Internal Business Consultant is to generate sales of ARI products by partnering with the ARI sales team. The Internal Business Consultant will work to develop new relationships with financial advisors and help the distribution team manage existing relationships. This is accomplished by providing product information through a consultative sales process, primarily by phone, while providing internal support to the external sales professionals. This role will interact with the all team members to develop ideas to increase the sales of ARI products while improving the prospect/client experience.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with ARI external sales professionals in a collaborative manner to increase sales of ARI products
  • Serve as connection point between prospects/clients and ARI product sales and marketing to provide information and feedback on products, presentations, and business practice information
  • Support Strategic Accounts by tracking sales activity by firm while supporting ARI marketing and sales guidelines
  • Assist in the development and management of territory business plans focused on intermediary advisors or RIAs
  • Assist with targeted and firm-wide campaigns through proactive outreach and relationship building with prospects and clients
  • Assist with the creation and tailoring of sales ideas based on firm profiles, business, and product focus
  • Create and analyze firm sales and asset reports to determine business opportunities
  • Conduct sales presentations to intermediary advisors, highlighting Advisory Research services and products
  • Participate in new and existing training programs to enhance performance and further career development

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 3-4 years of experience in asset management or financial services industry, ideally in sales capacity 
  • Series 7, 63 required; series 66 required with training provided for eligible candidates
  • Ability to multitask and work with multiple audiences both internally and externally
  • Results oriented with a self-starter mentality
  • Must be able to communicate proactively with all key stakeholders
  • Limited travel is expected
