We're looking for a gifted, experienced Oncology Traveler RN to work in our busy BMT/Oncology inpatient unit.  We require this Traveler to have at least 2 years current experience in Oncology, preferably from an academic/teaching hospital. This unit includes 21 oncology beds, and a 15-bed BMT unit. These nurses provide multidisciplinary care to medical/surgical oncology, medicine overflow patients, oncology/hematology patients requiring active cancer treatment, post-operative care, chemotherapy/biotherapy administration, radiation treatments/implants, autologous, allogeneic and cord blood stem cell transplants and supportive measures. The typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4 on days 1:5 on nights.

To qualify for this exceptional opportunity, you must have previous Traveler RN experience at an academic medical hospital. In addition, you must:

  • Be a non-resident of Colorado
  • Possess a degree in nursing from an accredited school (BSN preferred)
  • Be licensed to practice professional nursing in the state of Colorado, or hold a compact RN license
  • Have 3 or more years’ experience as a practicing registered nurse, 2 years in  Oncology, preferably at an academic medical hospital
  • Be certified in BLS
  • Pass a physical examination and background check
  • Pass a Telemetry and Medication Test
