In this position …

  • Search Associates are responsible for assisting in the day to day management of a client account. They may also be assigned to assist with training others on Search Associate job duties and processes and/or as a mentor to new hires. It is expected that all work product produced by the Search Associate is accurate. The Search Associate will report directly to the most senior Search person on the account team. 


You will be accountable for:

  • Partnering with the Senior Associate in gathering necessary data for plan development and implementation
    • Assist in the preparation and rationale of search media recommendations and annual plan presentations including, but not limited to:
      • Developing initial keyword lists
      • Keyword traffic forecasts/estimates from engines
      • Requesting and compiling industry collateral from engines
  • Assisting the Senior Associate to ensure overall quality and integrity of plans, including:
    • Run Adwords and Adcenter reports and analyze data, gather costs, create and maintain search media reports
    • Work with excel pivots for client reporting
    • Monitor and maintain campaign budget and media trackers at a minimum of 3 times per week
    • Generate paperwork necessary for purchase authorization
    • Pull activity reports for billing
    • Work with Finance to resolve billing discrepancies
    • Have basic understanding of KPIs/Metrics to analyze plan performance where necessary to ensure success
    • Maintain search media partner information files
    • Collect/Prepare/Distribute agenda for internal and external account meetings
    • Some participation on client calls required
  • Implementing search media buys including data entry, trafficking, and upload of approved keywords and creative to adserver, search engines and/or search campaign management systems
  • Establishing  and maintaining strong relationships with engine/vendor partners
  • Possessing a basic understanding of keyword generation, negatives and best practices of ad copy writing
  • Working closely with the Senior Associate to establish priorities and manage workload
  • Providing timely and accurate delivery of all work
  • Successfully completing required training program(s)


Our Requirements

  • Entry level role; related digital or search internships strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree required; concentration in advertising, marketing, business administration, and/or communications preferred
  • Strong quantitative skills, including analytical abilities and math proficiency
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work within a team, handle multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines
  • Propensity to be business-minded and professional
  • Extremely detail-oriented, with clear and proven organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate ambition by keeping abreast of industry trends through trade news, industry workshops / seminars and tracking current events
  • Exhibit passion through appropriate participation in team, agency, and industry initiatives
  • Demonstrate genuine curiosity and interest in our clients & their business
  • Digitally savvy, with specific proficiency at MS Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
