Power Fuels specializes in the transportation of drilling fluids and we are dedicated to providing the safest and most reliable transportation and disposal services in the region.  Power Fuels is seeking a full-time position for a water hauler in the Western North Dakota oilfields.  Water haulers will be responsible for ensuring that equipment, paperwork, logs, and personal protective equipment, are in compliance with DOT, IFTA, and OSHA regulations at all times.  Each driver will be responsible for performing daily pre and post trip inspections on all of the equipment assigned to them.  Inspections should be in-depth and ensure that all safety devices are in proper working order including brakes, warning buzzers, ESO, tires and delivery hoses.  Water hauler paperwork must be properly completed.  This includes all manifests, delivery tickets, mileage sheets and inspection forms.  Additionally, each operator should be prepared to present all current required documents to any authorized inspector upon request.  These documents will include drivers’ license and physical card.  They must maintain legal hours of service and report daily hours to their coordinator.  Each day, all drivers must inspect their personal protective equipment and ensure it is serviceable prior to beginning any task.  Any non-serviceable equipment will be replaced immediately.




  • Inspect, perform minor repairs and maintain transfer/transport equipment
  • Read and understand mechanical, sight, and fixed liquid level gauges
  • Climb ladders or use footholds to climb onto equipment
  • Maintain a high level of vehicle cleanliness
  • Occasionally wear and use breathable air equipment (SCBA)
  • Read maps and follow directions from dispatch
  • Prepare all required reports
  • Document all required inspections according to operating instructions and DOT regulations
  • Read and follow inspection directives
  • Gauge and record levels on production/fresh water tanks
  • Loading, unloading, and transporting fluids to well sites and disposals
  • Attend required monthly safety meetings
  • Perform all duties while complying with company personnel and safety policies




  • Maintain all Federal, State, and Local Certification
  • Perform all work in varying and sometimes extreme weather conditions
  • Wear proper PPE at all times while in the performance of their duties
  • Adhere to company policies along with customer policies
  • Enter and exit trucks daily to perform routine tasks
  • Be able to sustain duties for extended periods of time
  • Be able to bend, stoop, and twist while handling a weight of approximately 50 lbs. repeatedly to complete routine tasks
  • Able to handle tools or fittings to perform daily tasks
  • Able to become familiar with and haul loads
  • Hear the audible noise produced by air escaping from an airline or vent line
  • Speak, read, and understand English
  • Pass all training requirements (drug test, background check, driving record review, road test, and physical ability test)
  • Be friendly and courteous
  • Maintain a professional appearance
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Read and understand all DOT daily logging requirements
  • Good math skills
  • Maintain a clean MVR




  • DOT qualified
  • Class A-CDL with tanker endorsement
  • Pass all pre-employment tests
  • Operate manual transmissions
  • 2 years tractor-trailer experience




  • 5 – 1 Option
    • This option provides a schedule where drivers work 5 days on followed by one day off for 4 weeks with 7 days off after completion of those 4 weeks
  • 5 -2, 5-3 Option
    • This option provides a schedule where drivers work 5 days on followed by 2 days off, then 5 days on followed by 3 days off, respectively rotating throughout the year
